That time has come.

I wrote this poem after reading the newspaper one day about a guy I knew who lost his girlfriend to another guy. He couldn’t bear the thought of another man holding and caressing his girlfriend, so he took his own life and committed suicide. So, I put pen to paper and came up with this.

The Time Has Come
That time has come to say farewell; I’m off to heaven and leaving hell.
Ten to one, I can’t believe she’s gone.
Ten to two, all I want is Sue.
Ten to three, why is this happening to me?
Ten to four, it’s that time to score.
Ten to five, I don’t want to be alive.
Ten to six, it’s time to put it in the syringe to fix.
Ten to seven, I’ll be shortly leaving Devon.
Ten to eight, I’m as high as a kite.
Ten to nine, I feel fine.
Ten to ten, it’s just a matter of when.
Ten to eleven, I’ve reached the gates of heaven.
Ten to twelve……The end.
